Teaching has always been a significant part of my life and career as a violinist. I have maintained a private violin studio for nearly 25 years, beginning as a student teacher through Community Education in Brainerd, Minnesota. Since then I have taught privately and through the San Francisco Conservatory of Music's prestigious Music To Go! program in the San Francisco Public School District, at Community Music Center in Portland, and as an orchestra sectionals coach for Portland’s Metropolitan Youth Symphony and Willamette University’s orchestra. I also spent time as the classroom violin teacher at Portland Public School’s Beach Elementary, a dual immersion school in Spanish and English where I taught in Spanish to second through fifth graders.
